Marketing and MLM Can Make Your Life A Lot Easier Than
Offline!
Many Brick and Mortar businesses prospecting for customers
have had dramatic shift from offline to online, especially in the
past five years. Even the multi-billion dollar companies resistant
to internet presence in the past are jumping into the
internet bandwagon. These Companies are spending huge sums
of money in advertisement to drive traffic to their websites as a way
of prospecting for new customers. They continue to use TV and Radio
adverting to drive targeted traffic to their websites to capture those
customers who no longer spend time watching TVs or listening to
Radios.
Why?
They now realize that internet has become the center piece business of
transactions and that the future of all businesses depend on it.
Similarly, prospecting and recruiting in Network Marketing is taking the
internet by storm. In the past 5 years, some of the more foresighted
MLM marketers and some Network Marketers saw the handwriting on
the wall began to take advantage of the shift and started to invest on
the internet.
The old way of inviting your pals, your brother, your brother’s girl
friend and even grandma seems to be drawing to a close. I know
that there are thousands if not millions of people still practicing this
method of promoting and recruiting. I think the time has come for
you try your hands on the internet to experiment and experience
the difference.
Those of us who have tried our hands on the internet, particularly
MLM and Network Marketing, have now begun to notice that the
internet has become an excellent tool to use in promoting,
advertising and recruiting people. It’s beginning to replace the
offline or old way of invitation, particularly strangers. It allows
you to build your list without a prior knowledge of the prospect.
Let’s Examine What You Do In Offline Recruiting
Usually, you make a list of people you know, it could be brother,
your sister, your sister’s boy friend or your co-worker. You
perform the usual ritual of glowing to your up line that you
have say, ten people to your next presentation meeting. You
hasten to arrange a three way phone call. You schedule the
the time for the call. Eventually the call is made and everyone
agrees to attend the scheduled meeting. You do this until the
presentation day.
On the day of the meeting, you dress up neatly and the first person to arrive
to impress not only your invites but also your up line. As you
wait for your invitees, you watch everybody arrive except your crew.
As you continue to wait, your up line arrives and sits next to you. Then
asks where are your guys? You scratch your forehead, I haven’t seen
any of them. You go the corner and call each and every one.
I forgot it’s today, may be next time says one of your crew, the next
person says I was getting ready to come but my dog Jack broke his
paws while chasing the cat. You go through the ten people, you get
similar excuses. Disheartening isn’t it.
Jokes aside, these are some of the experiences you go through
when you use an offline method of promoting and recruiting in
Network Marketing and MLM.
System
For any business to be successful, it must be systematized. It
must have a procedure and a system that allows it to operate
on its own almost entirely.
It must have a tool or tools that facilitates the process and
make the process routine.
Now Let’s Look at Online Method Of Promoting And Recruiting
1. You have a website
2. A system to receive and deliver your emails
3. A system that allows you to collect peoples’ information
automatically.
4. Ability to broadcast your messages to thousands of
people at the same time in a matter of minutes.
5. Allows you to build your list into thousands without
knowing any of them previously.
6. When your prospect needs information he or she gets it
form your website or sends you an email
These days, Video Conferencing or Webinar has begun to
take over physical presentation where people usually move
form place to place, hotels to hotels for the primary purpose
of presentations. With the click of the button your prospect
can log in watch life presentations from the comfort of
wherever they are. They can even download the conference
call if they still have an unanswered questions.
Your prospect would feel less intimidated reaching a decision
in favor of joining or not.
You too, would feel a lot more confident in what you’re doing
knowing that all you can do is continuing to build your list,
inviting prospects through your websites, emails, and opt in
lead capture pages.
When you advertise, only people who are seriously interested
would answer your ads. Your job of promoting and recruiting
prospects becomes a lot less daunting and more pleasing to
your spirit.
Make Haste While The Sun Shine
If you’re one of the Dinosaurs, please make haste while
the sun shine or else you will be left hang on to the past.
Begin to think about how you can migrate from offline to
online techniques or at least to consider integrating both
which could be a topic of discussion on its own.
The internet has established and proved itself to be the most efficient,
most complete system to do business. It’s fast replacing the
traditional ways of doing business. Internet has provided people
a more convenient avenue of using tools such as I-tunes, and
cell phone to transact business which was not possible ten or
fifteen years ago.
If you have not established a presence on the internet, I don’t
care what type of business you are in you will be sorry not to
have a web presence. I bet you that your business will not be
around for two long. So take heed.
